Tags! Crowdsourcing!
We'll be crowdsourcing content that comes out of this unconference. Our Twitter hashtag is #tcic2012.
Photos and videos uploaded to Flickr and YouTube can use this tag to make it easier for us to find your contributions as we curate the content we produce here. For Flickr and YouTube, you can also use tags like "THATCamp Iowa City," "THATCamp," and "Iowa City," along with whatever tags you wish to label your work with. Thank you for helping us document our THATCamp!

I'm a historian of Early Modern Northern European Art, specialized in 17th-century Dutch. My project "The Dutch in the World" has taken me to a dozen or so key sites of Dutch trade in Asia, Africa, and the Americas--Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Japan, Sri Lanka, India, South Africa, Ghana, Brazil, Suriname, the Netherlands Antilles, even New York--documenting a range of art forms that register the interculturation engendered by these early modern contacts. I've worked with tech-experts in birthing a web project out of this work, currently in progress, but THEY have all the magic!
