Mark Isham
I teach business writing, technical writing, and team writing in the English Department and the College of Engineering, and have taught those subjects in the College of Business MBA Program. I have taught writing and literature at Coe College and Kirkwood Community College, written for the National Science Foundation, and helped found and consult with the Hanson Center for Technical Communication in the College of Engineering. I give seminars throughout Iowa and the Midwest on business writing to clients such as Rockwell Collins, Fisher Controls International, Delta Dental Plans Association, National Computer Systems, Stanley Consultants, Howard R. Green and Company, and The Iowa Engineering Society. Recently I have taught students to cartoon as a way to encourage reflection and improve writing and given seminars for faculty to teach them how to use cartooning in their courses. I keep a daily comic of my life.
